How to stay Healthy, How to Avoid Sickness

What truly comes first, a weakened body or the invading germ? Our understanding of health is straitjacketed by both outdated dogma and a rigid, reductionist "science". This Article is about why creating an internal environment where germs & viruses simply can't survive is the answer to not get sick.

How to stay Healthy, How to Avoid Sickness

The current health paradigm is a cage. We are living in a revolution of health, where the word “holistic” now is getting hip. The problem is, what people think of “holistic” is most often just only the spiritual side of things. Which in turn, is not holistic. Holistic means integrated and whole.

Science and Spirituality.

The Science of Spirituality.

The Spirituality of Science.

But in the past 500 years, we’ve been handed a narrow lens, forcing us to view health through a single, limiting spectrum. This is a critical vulnerability.

Our Fixation on a Singular Narrative

Our understanding of health is straitjacketed by both outdated dogma and a rigid, reductionist "science." You've been given a pair of glasses that filter out all but one color of the rainbow, leaving you blind to the full spectrum of well-being.

This dominating side? It's the reductionist, materialistic, mainstream scientific view—a hyper-focus on Germ Theory, a fervent reliance on pharmaceuticals, and an obsessive fixation on pathogens.

Let's be clear: these components are undeniably crucial, but they are merely slivers of an infinitely grander design.

The problem here is our fixation on a singular narrative. Science, despite its breathtaking marvels, has sometimes steered us down a perilous path of tunnel vision. Recall the not-so-distant past when doctors declared smoking harmless and even beneficial? History is littered with "scientific truths" that proved to be catastrophic falsehoods. To deny this pattern is to condemn yourself to repeating it. Science means to be transparent to the ungoing truth that we now only 1% of 99% of infinity.

Western Society is Sicker Than Ever

Despite our scientific advancements and medical interventions, Western society is not just unwell—it is alarmingly, catastrophically sicker than ever before. We are witnessing an explosion of neurological illnesses, a disturbing surge in childhood disease, and a horrifying array of health issues that were virtually unheard of just three decades ago.

Obesity rates are skyrocketing.

Yet, paradoxically, our conviction in the infallibility of mainstream healthcare science is more absolute than ever. This is a sign of arrogance. Arrogance is a sign of inserucity.

This rigid, unyielding mindset extends to our very perception of sickness. We've been conditioned to instinctively grasp for a pill at the slightest cough or sniffle, believing it's the only pathway to relief.

But in this narrow view, we are fatally missing the forest for the trees.

Currently, two primary theories dominate the discussion on germ and virus-induced illness. The first, Germ Theory, is universally accepted and vigorously endorsed by every major medical institution. It posits that diseases are fundamentally caused by microorganisms that invade our bodies.

On the other hand, there’s Terrain Theory. This perspective gets labeled as “esoteric nonsense”, but you see that principle working actually univerisally. It says that the overarching health and intrinsic condition of our body's health(environment)—our 'terrain'—is the ultimate determinant of our sensitivity to disease. Means: when your body is unhealthy, you get sick.

Sounds so simple, but the mainstream science says its not true.

Germ Theory – The Invaders:

This is the narrative you've been fed since childhood: germs cause diseases, full stop. Germ Theory asserts that microscopic organisms—bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites—are the primary reason of illness. When there is germs, you get sick.

Germ Theory has had a huge and lasting impact. It became the foundation for modern microbiology, leading to major breakthroughs. These include new ways to sterilize things, widespread vaccination programs, and the development of antibiotics.

The discovery that tiny organisms cause disease changed how we fight infections. It turned infection control into a direct battle against these invaders. This led to essential practices such as thorough handwashing, sterilizing medical tools, and pasteurizing food. Without a doubt, these steps have saved countless lives and are still crucial today.

But here's a crucial point, an inconvenient truth: What if germs are only part of the picture? Yes, they exist, they are present, and they can certainly be harmful. But are they the whole story? They are invaders, no doubt. And meticulous hygiene can clearly prevent many nasty illnesses. This has saved lives; there's no question about that.

However—and this is the key difference—whether germs overcome us or are repelled depends entirely on the state of our "inner world." It's basic common sense.

Think about how we categorize germs and fungi in nature: they are widely known as decomposers, the "police" or "clean-up crew" of the ecosystem. If we apply this undeniable principle to ourselves—and we are part of nature—it becomes strikingly clear: the police only show up when there's a reason, when there's something to clean up. Consider this for a moment.

Terrain Theory: The Landscape of Our Bodies

Now, let's talk about Terrain Theory. This is not much more than your typical biology lesson. This theory states that your body's internal environment—its "terrain"—is what truly determines your health. It's the powerful idea that if your inner landscape is strong and healthy, harmful germs are far less likely to take hold or cause problems. This being about carefully creating an internal environment where they simply can't survive or thrive.

Embracing this truth is key to taking back your power over your own health. This doesn't mean we completely reject Germ Theory; both ideas, like light and shadow, hold a piece of the truth. The principle "as within, so without," which we've already discussed, means your internal state directly shows up in your external reality.

Why would you blindly accept the common idea that outside germs have all the power to decide your fate? This goes against every timeless truth about personal power and responsibility.

It takes away your response-ability—your natural ability to react appropriately to any challenge. You always have power, even if it feels like a small amount.

Holistic View: Embracing Paradoxes

So, where does this important duality leave us? Exactly in the realm of paradox. It's the classic chicken-and-egg question: what truly comes first, a weakened body or the invading germ? The profound truth, the path to genuine health, lies in accepting both sides at the same time. This is how you find the truth: through paradox.

I’m telling you don’t choose a side or stick to one belief system over another. It's about a sophisticated understanding of how your complex internal environment constantly interacts with the volume of external factors.

By recognizing your inherent power—your deep ability to influence this interaction—you claim your rightful place in shaping your own health destiny.

Think about the friggin’ Placebo! Isn’t it proving the point here?

See you next week!

Kiss kiss, Tarkan
